Condition: For Parts or Not Working. This centrifuge is in Fair cosmetic condition. There are scuffs/stains/scratches here and there all over. The inside of the chamber has a dark line around as well as one major ding several millimeters deep. The front panel has all three bolt holes broken and the panel will fall off if bumped hard from the side. There is oil on the wires leading to the bottom of the drive motor. There is oily goo in the bottom of the cabinet. Buried in the oily goo is a temperature sensor, cut off from the J39 Diffusion Pump Overtemperature Sensor connection. The card inside says this was receiving regular maintenance from 1983 to 1999 and nothing after. The oil in the mechanical vacuum pump is clear. The counter has been replaced; the total of both rotation counters is 614,110,080,000. The photos show the exact item(s) the buyer will receive.

Notes: This centrifuge works as far as we can test it, but we were not able to get it to spin up to speed without a rotor. It did start to spin up but quickly stopped and gave a TACH indication as expected. When the spindle is spun by hand, the speed indication gives a reading. The refrigeration cooled to zero degrees. The vacuum drew down to 1 micron. This unit was running for a day and a half to reduce moisture in the vacuum system. Eventually, it got down to 1 micron (good) and we turned the refrigeration on for a picture of it at zero degrees as shown, and switched off. An hour or so later there was a puddle on the floor - the refrigeration section was wet, likely with condensation but we are not certain. No other testing was done. This sale will be AS-IS. No manuals, cords/cables, or additional items are included if not listed or shown.

Shipping and Responsibility

Failure to note damage voids Dougdeals’ ability to assist with damage claims, and the buyer must seek restitution from the shipping service.
Customs, duties, taxes, brokerage fees, and all import-related costs for international shipments are the buyer's responsibility.
