Beckman Optima TLX Ultracentrifuge 120,000RPM with 3 Rotors

Condition: Used. This centrifuge is in Fair cosmetic condition. It has several minor scuffs/scratches from prior use, and slight stains, especially on top.  The inside of the chamber looks pretty clean.

The rotors look okay but are all VERY OLD and should be inspected before being trusted at high speed operation!

Notes: This ultracentrifuge is in Good working condition, with one caveat: We observed a strong smell of "hot electronic something" when the centrifuge spun down from 120,000 RPM and the smell persisted after an entire night of sitting and a day of running lower speeds; it gets stronger during deceleration events but never really goes away.  We were able to spin all three rotors in the centrifuge, and ran the TLN-120 to 120,000 RPM.  The vacuum light goes out shortly after the door is closed.  The cooling system holds 2ºC easily at low speed, but was only able to achieve about 5º at 120,000 RPM. Pressing "enter, 4, 1, 1, enter" shows a vacuum reading that falls from 10,000 to 1 in a couple of minutes.  The VAC light goes out soon after power-on.  No other testing was done.
