HP 3478A Digital Multimeter DMM 5-1/2 Digit with HP-IB/GPIB 3.6 Ohm Short -Parts

Condition: For Parts or Not Working. Comes in non-original packaging.  This meter is in fair cosmetic condition.  The power button cap is broken-off, but the switch still works if you press it with a pokey thing.  The unit looks and feels dirty, and has many minor scuffs/stains/spots of residues from prior use.

Notes: This meter is in PARTIAL working condition.  The power-on self-test gives a "SELF TEST OK" message.  The buttons on the control panel work, but some require a very firm press to operate.  Also, we found that the 2-wire ohms range will read about 3.6 ohms with a dead short (instead of zero ohms).  All the other measurements from the front panel inputs on AC and DC volts, AC and DC current, 2-wire and 4-wire ohms were close to what we would get on our reference meter.  The display is clear and easy to read.  No other testing was done.
