HP 6032A System DC Power Supply 1000W 0-60V 0-50A 120V Broken Power Input -Parts

Condition: For Parts or Not Working. Comes in non-original packaging.  This supply is in fair cosmetic condition, with lots of minor scuffs/scratches and residues from prior use.  The main input terminal cover is missing.  The Vsense terminals are loose.  The sides are bent on the back/bottom.  There is a tape on top, marked "Did not work in bay" which we are not sure what it means.

Please NOTE!  The dividers between the main input terminals are broken.  Our technician described this as "hinky", "scary," and "unsafe" so it should definitely be repaired before returning this power supply to service.

Notes: This supply is in PARTIAL working condition.  We noted that, without increasing the current adjustment, the voltage will rise when increased and then fall off.  After adjusting the current limit to about 0.1A, it was able to increase voltage normally.  This supply WILL NOT be fully able to supply and measure low-current output!  One time during testing, we switched off at 60V and turned back on again immediately, and it took a LONG time (a minute or so) for the voltage to fall to zero.  The fan runs, but started slowly and grumbly until it came up to speed.  We are not able to test GP-IB operation.  Using the front panel knob, we verified it can give 20A at 60V and 50A at 20V.  Controls respond as expected to user inputs.  The displays are bright.  No other testing was done.
