Description
Manufacturer: Sperry Gyroscope
Model: B-1
Condition: For Parts or Not Working. Comes in non-original packaging. This stabilizer is in Fair cosmetic condition. The top was loose when we got it, and several components are visibly loose or missing. A servo amplifier on the top has a lot of its label worn off. Two of the plastic side windows are broken. Inside there is a bit of dirt and some chips of window plastic in the bottom of the barrel. There is minor corrosion on various parts inside and out, as well as stubborn dirt residue that didn't come off with compressed air. Many of the cover screws are missing. The screws holding the top cover on are non-original. One top screw hole would not accept a screw; we think the barrel of the unit may be slightly out-of-round. Several wire clips around the outside are bent, broken, or missing. One section of window that we found was stamped with the number 675900, we are not sure what this means. The bottom is heavily scratched. The photos show the exact item(s) the buyer will receive.
Notes: The two outer yokes of the gyroscope can move freely in nearly a full circle, but there are stops at the end of travel in each direction preventing free rotation. The inner axis with three modules prominently marked "M-4" rotates freely in circles with no stops. All axes move with gentle whirring noises from the works, possibly motors or encoders. No other testing was done. No manuals, cords/cables, or additional items are included if not listed or shown.
