Condition: Used. This chamber is well worn with a few fasteners absent or mangled. It has been repainted and is a bit of an ugly duckling, but lovable nonetheless for its cooling capacity and ramp rate. It's very well constructed. The photos show the exact item(s) the buyer will receive.

Notes: We ran this chamber; it achieved -25C from 20C in five minutes; a further seven minutes resulted in -50C. Nine minutes were required to reach -60C from -50C. The heater works; it draws 6A at 480V three-phase. The steam generator shows good continuity. The humidity sensor does not work and the humidity coil did not energize when we enabled humidity in the control. The humidity water fill does work. A tag by the data plate states a refrigerant conversion was performed in 1995 from R13/R502 to R23/R404A. At this time a refrigerant expansion tank was added at the top of the chamber. Apparently, the 4800 control is original to this unit; it has several option cards including GPIB. The chart recorder is a Truline by Honeywell; it seems to work but we did not have paper to test it with. A Destaco latch was installed to remedy a door leak. No manual or shelves are included.

A refrigeration tech will be required to install this unit as the R404A compressor runs periodically to keep liquid refrigerant out of the suction line. R404A leakdown is very slow.

This is a nice high powered chamber ready to work. An oldie but a goodie. No manuals, cords/cables, or additional items are included if not listed or shown.

Items can be returned for any reason within 30 days of delivery.
Buyers must notify Dougdeals in writing within this period to initiate a return.
Returns must be authorized by Dougdeals and include an assigned RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) number.
Authorized returns must be received by Dougdeals within 21 days of return authorization.

Return Shipping and Refunds

If the return is due to seller error (e.g., wrong item sent, defects not described, inauthenticity), DougDeals will cover the return shipping costs and process a complete refund, including the original shipping charges, within two business days of receiving the returned item.
If the return is due to buyer error (e.g., wrong part ordered, compatibility issues, no longer needed, found a better price), the buyer is responsible for:
- Safe return shipping.
- Return shipping costs.
- Any loss or damage during return transit.

Exclusions and Limitations

Replacement or substitute items may be provided at Dougdeals’ discretion instead of a refund.
Returned items must be in the same condition as when sent and include all components.
There is no restocking fee, but Dougdeals reserves the right to deduct costs from refunds for altered or damaged items.
Items returned due to seller error that are found to be accurately described will have return shipping deducted from the refund.
Original shipping charges are non-refundable for orders shipped internationally or to U.S. territories, Alaska, or Hawaii.

Shipping and Responsibility

International and expedited shipping costs, import fees, calibration fees, and testing fees are the buyer’s responsibility.
Any damage occurring during transit via Dougdeals-arranged third-party services or Dougdeals employee delivery must be noted in writing on the delivery receipt at the time of delivery. Failure to do so will result in the buyer assuming responsibility for damage claims.

Customs, duties, taxes, brokerage fees, and all import-related costs for international shipments are the buyer's responsibility.
